Following Cyclone Gabrielle, and the tragic aftermath, we are fortunate to be back, with power and internet re-installed. Some of our team were involved in the support and relief efforts last week, and volunteered at RRT - Rapid Relief Team, supplying food and water to first responders, civil defense and the local community. We wanted to share some of our images from our time in the community.
DELIVERY
With many roads damaged, and patchy communications, our dispatch is significantly slowed down, and our products’ arrival will likely be delayed.
Currently we are not able to get through the Taupo road due to a large slip, meaning deliveries have to be diverted through Palmerston North. We are also unable to get through the Gisborne road from a bridge being washed out, these deliveries are also being diverted through Palmerston North.
STAFF
While a number of our staff members have been cut off by slips or helping clean-up, you can be assured, we are all safe, and those of us onsite are ready to help you.
Our team were all fortunate enough to safely survive the Cyclone with just incredible amount of devastation left on our hands to try to clean up. As some of us were involved in volunteering for the Rapid Relief Team, this meant keeping the frontline workers hydrated and emergency services fed with breakfast lunch and tea.
We would like to thank you all for your support in this tragic event, and wish you a safe week out there! Please remember to reach out if you need.
